Blessing your new home.
Your home is an extension of your life, body and spirit. A house blessing can help welcome peace, hope and freedom into your space and life. Your blessing doesn't need to be a religious one, there are many ways to bless your home, just think of it as a way to sweep through your home with love, harmony, health, happiness and prosperity.
You can have a house blessing before you move into a new home or just as you move in and start to live in the home. You can invite family and friends to be involved in the new start as I walk with you and lead your house blessing as your life Celebrant.
When there’s love in the home, there’s peace in the heart.
Over history and through different cultures, there have been many different ways to have a home blessing, in ancient days they would burn sage and later light a candle and pray, recite poems and readings along with promises made by the inhabitants, expressing desires for your aims and wishes. For centuries, people from all around the world have held religious ceremonies to ask the Divine to bring happiness, abundance and protection to their home. House blessings promote peace, harmony and wellbeing for its inhabitants.
So whether you have recently purchased a new home or live in one that's been in your family for generations, a blessing over your home and family to live in peace, love, and happiness is.
Your blessing may be coming from a Faith perspective, trusting God to watch over your household in mercy and grace, to protect you from bodily and spiritual harm. As Jesus instructed His disciples to bless the houses of those they entered, "When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’" (Luke 10:5).
A house blessing can help cultivate love, respect, peace, and happiness at home and remove emotional luggage from past pain and negative energy; clearing the past away.
